 Meet Our Board 

Dream Makers Youth Foundation has a seven-member Board of Directors with a variety of educational and professional experience. Each member is dedicated to serving their community, and providing assistance to those less fortunate than themselves. Each member was recruited, and then elected, because of their areas of expertise, and the belief that they could help fulfill our mission and objectives.

Nikki K. Wilson, MA OTR/L
Founder/President/Chairperson
Ms. Wilson is an Occupational Therapist who earned her Master's degree from New York University in 2001; she earned her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, MI) in 1997. She has been providing Pediatric Occupational Therapy services in a variety of settings since graduation, including aquatic, school- and home-based therapies. She has attended several Continuing Education courses, is competent in the stages of childhood development, and is a wheelchair soccer and basketball coach.

Dr. Samuel H. Jimerson
Vice President
Dr. Jimerson earned his Doctorate of Education from Atlanta University in 1975, where he majored in School Administration and Education Research. He is a professional educator with over 30 years of experience in the public, private, and corporate sectors, and over 20 years of professional management experience in educational administration. He has also published statistical and vocational related articles in national journals, and conducted an independent study on the architectural barriers for physically challenged children.

Joseph E. Graves, Jr.
Vice Chairperson
Mr. Graves is a Community Service/Public Service Consultant who studied Urban and Metropolitan Studies at Michigan State University (Lansing, MI). He has over thirty years of Senior Management experience, which includes lobbyist responsibilities, advocating for community-driven agendas, and developing collaborative community initiatives. Mr. Graves also served as Chief Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Social Services. 

Clarence Porter, Jr.
Treasurer
Mr. Porter is an Accountant who attended Dekalb College (Clarkston, GA) in 1976. He has been the owner and operator of P-Books, Inc. since February 1978, and provides accounting, tax, and general consultation services to small businesses, their owners, and managers. He is also enrolled to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service.

Patricia A. Wilson
Secretary
Ms. Wilson is a middle school English and Reading Teacher who earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Michigan State University (Lansing, MI) in Secondary Education (1972) and Secondary Reading (1974), respectively. Ms. Wilson has taught on the secondary level, and in adult education, in the Lansing, Comstock, and Kalamazoo School Districts. She has over thirty years of experience in education, and is competent in curriculum research and development for school-aged children.
